Taliah Waajid Apple and Aloe Review

I recently tried the Apple and Aloe Curl Definer by Taliah Waajid.

If you’re searching for a styler that will enhance your curl definition, you may want to try this out! It transforms your curls into lightweight, airy curls without any hard gel feel.

Apple and Aloe Shampoo

I wasn’t sure what to expect out of this shampoo. My regular wash day routine normally consists of using an apple cider vinegar rinse to neutralize the PH balance and cleanse my hair along prior to applying a deep conditioner. I also use 100% aloe vera juice to moisture my hair.

The key ingredients found in this line is apple, aloe and coconut. I thought this combination of ingredients was genius to find in a hair product. I’ve been sleeping on this product because it’s been on the market for years but I didn’t know about it.

As soon as I opened the bottle, I noticed that it had a mild, fresh apple scent. The shampoo did not lather as expected. I thought I had a lot of product buildup so I tried a second lather. Unfortunately, it did not lather on the second attempt either. It had minimum lather and seemed to be more of a clarifying rather than a moisturizing shampoo.

After shampooing, my hair did not feel moisturized and was slightly dry. I did use apple cider vinegar (ACV) rinse after shampooing which I normally do after shampooing with other shampoos but I would not recommend using ACV after using this shampoo.

Apple and Aloe Conditioner

When applied the leave-in conditioner, it instantly moisturized my hair. It was a smooth and creamy consistency similar to a body lotion. It was lightweight and absorbed easily into the hair. I liked the pump bottle because I didn’t have to fight to get the product out of the bottle. It also sprayed out like a liquid but transformed into a cream.

I would definitely recommend using a conditioner with the shampoo. This brand also has a deep conditioner but I didn’t purchase it since I wanted to use what I already have.

Apple and Aloe Curl Definer

I followed up with the Apple and Aloe Curl Definer. This styler is a mix between a gel and moisturizer. When I initially dipped my fingers in the jar, it felt sticky. As I rubbed my fingers together, it melted in my hands. It left no feeling of stickiness at all. It penetrated quickly into my skin leaving no trace of product on my hands! As I applied it on my hair, my coils instantly formed ringlets of curls and began to clump together. My 4C hair texture hair never was able to do a wash and go but this styler makes it possible!

I shingled each section and decided to two-strand twist my hair. I did use a hair butter and pomade to add extra moisture and shine. I let my hair air dry overnight. Apple The final results were amazing! My curls seemed lightweight, bouncy, and fluffy. It had curl definition and tiny ringlets and coils. It’s exactly what I’ve been searching for. It’s a quick styling method with great results. This product is great for 4C textures! I’m not sure how it will work on other hair types but you can try it out for yourself. I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.
